How many Depigmentation Treatment sessions are needed?
Although it depends on the person and the severity of their diagnosis, around 3-4 sessions are usually needed.
Does Depigmentation Treatment hurt?
The procedure is not painful, although it depends on each person's sensitivity. Topical anaesthetic can be applied before the procedure to help prevent any unpleasant sensations.
Before and After care of Depigmentation Treatment?
It is advised to avoid blood thinning medications and supplements 1 week prior to treatment (to avoid bruising). Do not use any aggressive products or have any aggressive procedures (i.e. AHA’s, strong retinol, acid peels, laser) in the area for a few days before coming in for the treatment. Do not take long showers or hot baths for 24 hours after treatment. Do not exercise or swim for 24 hours after treatment. Avoid UV for 48 hours and always use sunscreen. Do not use any aggressive treatments for up to 72 hours after treatment.
